We are hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate!

The Dutta Geomicrobiology Lab at the University of Georgia (UGA) is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team and investigate microbial life and biogeochemical processes in the sub-seafloor environment. 

The position will integrate metagenomics, metabolomics, molecular biology, and environmental geochemistry. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in whole-metagenome analysis, DNA extraction from low-biomass samples, mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, dPCR, bioinformatics, and/or viral ecogenomics.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work effectively with a high degree of independence, thrives in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment, and is interested in advancing the understanding of the deep biosphere and sub-seafloor microbial ecosystems.
